Dear Friend,
This weekend, January 24 and 25, in parishes across the Archdiocese of New York, we invite you to take part in something that touches every corner of our Church: the launch of the Cardinal's Annual Stewardship Appeal.
Each year, the Appeal gives Catholics in our Archdiocese the opportunity to contribute to the mission of the Church in an essential way, ensuring that our parishes, ministries, and programs have the resources they need to continue proclaiming Christ to the world.
Your support of the Appeal makes a direct and meaningful impact by:
- Forming our future priests and caring for those who have served faithfully in retirement
- Strengthening parishes, schools, and ministries, especially in vulnerable communities
- Expanding outreach to the poor and supporting new evangelization through the Sharing God's Gifts Pastoral Grants Program
As Cardinal Dolan prepares to retire on February 6, he has recorded a special message reflecting on the importance of the Appeal and its lasting impact it has on the life of our Church. On that same day, we will joyfully welcome Archbishop-designate Ronald A. Hicks, who will be installed as our new shepherd and continue guiding the Appeal with the same spirit of faith and service. We invite you to watch Cardinal Dolan’s message and prayerfully consider how your generosity can support this moment of transition and strengthen the mission of our archdiocese in 2026.
There are many ways to give to the Appeal, and your participation is an important act of faithful stewardship. By visiting cardinalsappeal.org/donate, you can choose the giving option that is right for you and help meet the needs of the Church.
With gratitude, we thank Cardinal Dolan for his nearly seventeen years of faithful leadership and the many individuals and families who have generously answered his call to stewardship.
Sincerely,
Kelvin Gentles
Executive Director
